Almost all municipalities require stormwater retention basins for any new construction project. These can be ugly mosquito infested holes surrounded by a chain link fence, or they can be vibrant ecosystems that are havens for wildlife, and a joy to behold.

Land is much too expensive to waste on an ugly retention pond when it can become a primary aesthetic asset with clear flowing water, birds, fish, and blossoms, all located next to the clubhouse, or at the entrance to your new development.
